Down in Fraggle Rock!

I just have to share this. I don’t know if any one loved the HBO series from the early to mid-1980s as much as I did, but I adored Fraggle Rock. It’s one of those warm, fuzzy memories from my childhood. When it went out of production (or we stopped getting HBO, I can’t remember), I was so sad that I wasn’t going to be able to see it anymore.

Over the years, I’ve been surprised that it hasn’t been replayed somewhere, put out in a collection series or made available in some way. But, now it has!

Last night, I was doing some online, early Christmas shopping, and I saw that Amazon is doing pre-orders for the entire Fraggle Rock collection! I felt just like that little kid all over again. So, naturally, I had to buy it for my kids. Okay, so it’s 50 percent for me, too, but still, it’s an awesome kids show that I think they would both enjoy.

Jim Henson was a genius — the Muppets were brilliant, but the Fraggles were something really special.
